Tcherniakov: War and Peace
Черняков: Война и мир
Magnificently performed music and outstanding vocal and acting work. In Dmitry Chernyakov's production, the staging follows not only the score but also the historical context in which the opera was created. In contrast to the novel, the entire action takes place in a confined space – the Column Hall of the Moscow House of Unions – where people wait, hope, love, and live out their lives.
In the role of Natasha: Olga Kulchinskaya; Pierre: Arsen Sogomonyan; Bolkonsky: Andrei Zhilikhovsky.

The grand five-part structure of the Fifth Symphony encompasses a long journey from the Funeral March to its tumultuous finale – perhaps naive in its finality but a sincere attempt to resolve the tragic conflict with the surrounding world.
Salzburg: La Traviata
